The study was conducted from January to May 2016.
There were four sets of respondents who were chosen purposively in this study. These were the key informants, video experts, review board evaluators, and the student respondents. The study was conducted in three identified elementary schools in Benguet namely: Pontino Elementary School (PES), Batanes Primary School (BPS), and Alno Kadoorie Elementary School (AKES).
The study had undertaken two components, the production and evaluation. Under the production it followed three phases which are identified as pre- production, production and post- production. The video was composed of clips stressing the definition of Anti- Bullying Act of 2013 and some examples of the forms of bullying. The running time of the video was 12 minutes with ‘kankanaey’ language. These are the elements considered in the production and evaluation of the video: video quality, editing process, quality of equipment, audio quality, content or message and typography.
There were also challenges encountered by the researcher in the process of production and evaluation of the Anti- Bullying video. These are in the difficulty of story conceptualization, cast and crew dynamics, difficulties during the editing process, overheating of computer during the rendering, and the production expenses.
The video was rated good by the video experts. This goes with the overall mean rating of the review board which is good also. Under the students’ evaluation, the result of the quiz type questionnaire was rated as passing.
The suggestions gathered for improvement of the video are as follows; improvement in video quality, improvement in color balance, application of close up shots, angle changes, limitation in using transitions, use of original music, use of external microphone, more rehearsal for the actors and appropriate use of font. Department of Education, as one of the key informants suggested that the produced video may undergo the quality assurance of the DepEd for its school utilization and for its future utilization in other schools aside from the target school.
