Abstract:
This study was conducted to determine the financial performance of the BMTC-MPC using the performance standard for Philippines Cooperative covering the years 2010-2014 of its operation, the financial management practices and policies that have been implemented and the problems, needs and concerns encountered by the cooperative and members.
The finding shows that the financial performances of the cooperative for the years 2010-2014 are not stable due to the unavoidable changes in their assets and their capital. The service offered of the cooperative was only credit service. It emphasizes the need for the additional and improvement of the coops operation. Some of the financial management practices and policies of the cooperative are not well implemented. One is on the credit service management. The cooperative, like other cooperatives was beset by problems, needs and concerns especially on membership, cooperative officers, capitalization, cooperatives operation/activities and on government assistance.
