Abstract:
This study was conducted to determine the growth and yield of peanut beans as affected by plant spacing and seeding rate to determine the best plant spacing for growth and yield of peanut beans under La Trinidad, Benguet conditions; to determine the best seeding rate for optimum growth and yield of peanut beans; to determine the economics of using the different seeding rate and plant spacing on the growth and yield of peanut beans; and to determine the interaction between the seeding rate and plant spacing of peanut beans.
Findings of the study revealed that 3 seeds per hill spaced at 30x30 cm significantly affected the growth and yield of peanut beans. Seeding rate 3 seeds per hill spaced at 30x30 cm produced the highest fresh seed yield and return on investment (ROI), although the ROI differences were not significant at 3 seeds per hill spaced at 25x25 cm.
