Abstract:
Results revealed that application of different organic fertilizers significantly affected the number of days from transplanting to flowering, initial and final plant height, width and length of spathe, stem length of the cutflower, number of days from transplanting to harvesting the second flower, number of flower produced after six months, number of leaves produced per plant and length of leaves. Plants applied with 1:1:1 alnus compost + coco coir dust + mushroom compost had earlier flowering produced wider and longer spathe, longer stem length of anthurium cutflowers, produced the second flower earlier, more number of flowers produced after six months, more number of leaves produced per plant, and also produced the highest return on cash expenses (ROCE) compared to the other treatment combinations used.
Using different rates of organic fertilizers differed on the length of spathe and stem length of cutflower. The rate of 3,500 g/sq.m produced the longer spathe length and longer stem length of cutflowers compared to the other treatments used.
