Abstract:
Stress is a fact of everyday life. Stress can come from any situation or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry, or anxious. Everyone sees situations differently and has different coping skills. For this reason, no two people will respond exactly the same way to a given situation. Stress is a normal part of life. In small quantities, stress is good; it can motivate you and help you become more productive. Coping techniques are strategies people often use to manage difficult or painful emotions in the face of stress or trauma to help manage difficult or painful emotions. Coping can help people adjust to some of the stressful events but also maintaining the emotional well-being. This study was conducted to determine the level of stress and coping techniques of Benguet State University college learners level 2 to level 4 during the school year 2017-2018. It included the relationship between the level of stress and the level of coping mechanisms and compared according to; College, Sex, Year Level and Living Arrangement.
