dc.description.abstract This study determined the level of satisfaction of mothers on the safe and quality nurse care rendered by nurses. Specially, it sought to know the profile of primiparous and multiparous women in terms of the number of children, place of delivery, age, educational attainment, employment status, and monthly family income. Furthermore, the study aimed to identify the weak points of nursing care understanding that the delivery process is a repeated occurrence in a woman’s life and that safe and quality nursing care and rehabilitation should be rendered. Also, it aimed to give concrete findings to identify ways of improving nursing care through safe and quality nursing interventions, therefore, promoting early recovery of patients. The total number of respondents was 60 composed of primiparous and multiparous women who previously delivered via normal spontaneous delivery from September to November 2014. The study was conducted from September 2014 to March 2015. The Descriptive-Survey design was used to evaluate the safe and quality nursing practices rendered by nurses to primi- and multiparious women. The sample respondents were selected through simple random sampling. A questionnaire was utilized to gather data and was divided into three parts: Part I consisted of the letter to respondents stating purpose of the study, a consent requesting them to participate and honestly answer the questions, and giving assurance that all information that were gathered will be held with utmost confidentiality; Part II was the profile of the respondents; and Part III was the set of statement which served as the basis for evaluating the quality and safe nursing practices rendered by nurses to mothers. The data gathered were studied and analyzed using weighted mean, one-sample t-test, two-sample t-test, and analysis of variance (ANOVA). Findings indicated that the level of satisfaction of mothers on the safe and quality nursing care rendered by nurses when compared according to satisfactory is highly significant regardless of knowledge application, medication, administration, and provision of safety comfort and privacy. Based on the findings of the study, nurses are encouraged to stress on the importance of health education p[particularly on massaging of the uterus after birth, daily perineal care, and proper wound care, actions and side effects of medication, food intake to enhance milk production and wound healing. Also, a nurse must consider providing comfort through back rub or massage, and stretching and cleaning of bed linens. Lastly, future researchers, are also encouraged to conduct similar studies considering larger number of respondents taking into account other demographic profile, other factors affecting level of satisfaction of mothers, comparison between 2 public hospital and/or between 2 private hospitals on the levels of satisfaction among client, comparison on the levels of satisfaction regarding nursing care of clients who had undergone caesarean section delivery, and including other dimensions of the 11 Core Competencies. en_US
