dc.description.abstract The study aimed to know how students of Benguet State University (BSU) manage stress and to know the effect of sex, year level, age and curricular program on the quality level of stress management among students of selected colleges of the institution. The study was conducted during the months of January and February 2016, the respondents were composed of 239 students currently enrolled at the selected colleges namely College of Home Economics and Technologies (CHET), College of Teacher Education (CTE), College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) and College of Forestry (CF). The qualitative cross-sectional survey method was used with Brief Coping Styles Questionnaire as an instrument to gather data. The statistical weighted mean, t-test and ANNOVA were used to analyse the result. Results of the study show the sex, year level, and curricular program of the respondent’s students made no significant difference on stress management however, age factor revealed a significant difference on stress management showing those age group of 23 to 27 had a higher level of stress management than those of the younger age. Recommendations are stipulated as a) meditating and listening to music should be used as stress management; b) BSU students should improve their level of stress management; c) other researchers would explore more by using other variables; d) college students would cluster and know the best way of coping stress and to know the cause of their stress and e) future research should use larger sample size from other courses to support these findings which help the university officials to control the stress factors of students. en_US
