dc.description.abstract The study was conducted at Balili Organic farm of Benguet State University La Trinidad, Benguet from November 2013 to February 4014 to determine the growth and yield of French beans applied with varying concentrations of effective microorganisms (EM4), to determine the best rate of effective microorganisms that enhance the growth and yield of French beans, and to evaluate the profitability of French beans applied with varying concentration of effective microorganisms. Results of the study did not show any significant differences among the various concentrations of effective microorganisms from 50 ml to 200 ml per 16 liters of water on the growth and yield of French beans. In terms of profitability, the content plots that were not applied with effective microorganisms obtained the highest net income of PhP 221.86 per 15 m2 with return on cash expenses of 73.62 % or 0.74 centavos for every peso spent in the production. The negative relationship was observed on the rate of EM4 and the net income obtained. en_US
