dc.description.abstract The study was conducted at Balili Lettuce garden, in areas rented to farmers. Ninety-six soil samples from 164 garden plots planted exclusively with lettuce were examined for the presence of soil-transmitted helminthes (STH). Result of the study showed that 51% of the soil samples were positive for soil-transmitted helminthes. Ascaris species have a prevalence of 47% and Toxocara species have a prevalence of 34%. en_US
