| dc.description.abstract | The study was conducted at the Benguet State University Organic Agriculture Demo Farm Greenhouse, Tabangaoen, Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet with coordinates of 160 27’ 19.04” N 1210 35’ 31.757” E from October 2014 to February 2015. The objective of the study was to: (1) determine the influence of the different organic fertilizer on some chemical characteristics of the soil and (2) determine the yield performance of cabbage as affected by the organic fertilizers. The applied different organic fertilizers were BSU growers’ compost, vermicompost, and cow manure. BSU growers’ compost significantly increased the pH, organic matter and nitrogen content of the soil. Application of BSU growers’ compost significantly affected the higher yield performance and solidity of cabbage. Application of BSU growers compost at the rate of 10tons/ha is recommended to increase the pH, OM, N content of the soil and the yield of cabbage. | en_US |
