dc.description.abstract The study was conducted to determine the effect of molasses on the growth and yield of cabbage, to find out the proper amount of molasses appropriate for cabbage production; and to determine the economic benefit/s of using molasses for cabbage production. Seeds were sown uniformly in a thoroughly prepared seed bed. All the cultural management practices were done uniformly to insure optimum growth and development of the experimental plants. Every treatment was applied with molasses, Chicken dung and Atlas 14-14- 14 to ensure desirable growth and healthy seedlings. Results revealed that cabbage plants applied with chicken dung and the concentration of 60-75 ml of molasses per 1 liter of water were the earliest to produce heads from transplanting. Application of chicken dung plus the concentration of 75 ml molasses per liter of water produced the highest percentage heading, bigger equatorial circumference, higher in marketable yield and total yield. Application of chicken dung and a combination of 15 ml/ 1 liter of waterof molasses obtained the highest return on investment. en_US
