| dc.description.abstract | The study was conducted at Nabalicong, Natubleng, Buguias, Benguet to: determine the growth and yield of three carrot cultivars applied with varying rates of hatake fertilizer; determine the best rate of hatake fertilizer for carrot production under Nabalicong, Natubleng, Buguias, Benguet; determine the profitability of using hatake in carrot production; and determine the interaction between carrot cultivars and rates of applying hatake fertilizer. There were significant differences observed on the different rates of hatake on the weight of medium roots, however, different rates of hatake had no significant effect in terms of the length of leaves; root diameter; root length; weight of big and small roots; and weight of marketable and non-marketable roots. There were no interaction effect between the three cultivars and the different rates of hatake on all of the data gathered. The application of the different rates of hatake is uneconomic because of lower return on cash expense as compared to the untreated carrots. However, the different rates of hatake produced good percentage of marketable roots. | en_US |
