Agri-Eco-Tourism Circuit Development in Tublay, Benguet

Abstract

This study was conducted for the following objectives: to identify and document the Five As of tourism in the area that can be included in the circuit; to identify the tourism development needs in the area; and to develop a tourism circuit for the area. This study aimed to identify and document the location and interconnection of the agri-eco-tourism site along the market-oriented itinerary in preparation for tourism circuit map of Tublay. Data were obtained from the respondents through personal and focus group discussion. It was conducted from January to March 2016. There were 25 of tourism attractions identified during the interview and focus group discussions. Out of 25 tourism attractions, 15 are considered as an existing tourism attraction and the other 10 are potential tourism attractions. It also revealed that agri-eco-tourism circuit development in Tublay, Benguet is good in terms of attractions, accessibility, and activities. The tourism development circuit was exhibited into one circuit that is to start in barangay Caponga-Ambassador-Daclan-Basil-Tublay Central-Baayan-Ambongdolan-Tuel. The accommodations and amenities are needed for further development in each tourism sites.
