dc.description.abstract The Cordillera Administrative Region has a diverse cultural background with multiple cultural and traditional practices unique to each tribe. Exploring cultural healthcare practices may aid in forming trust between the healthcare provider and the patient. It can increase treatment compliance resulting to provision of quality individualized care. Campinha-Bacote's cultural competence in health care delivery model will serve as the coherent factor in this study. The study aimed to assess the level of awareness that nurse learners of Benguet State University and Cordillera Career Development College have on cultural health practices in the Cordilleras. Descriptive research design was utilized and survey questionnaire were distributed to 152 nurse learners in the two nursing schools of La Trinidad—Benguet State University and Cordillera Career Development College. After the data collection, statistical treatment, such as T-test, Analysis of Variance, and Duncan’s Multiple Range Test were performed. Nurse learners are slightly aware of the cultural health practices. The level of awareness is also influenced by different variables but mode of encounters has a more significant effect. Therefore, this study highlights that nurse learners should be more exposed to these different ethnic groups. Nursing schools may integrate more community immersions for nurse learners to be engaged further with these various cultural health practices. Since the level of awareness to the cultural health practices was already obtained, it is suggested that future nurse researchers conduct a study on the level of competency. en_US
