dc.description.abstract Like food, sex is an important part of our lives. From an evolutionary perspective, the reason is obvious—perpetuation of the species. The purpose of this study is to describe the level of knowledge about sex education, extent of practice on social media about sex education, difference on the level of knowledge on the extent of practice on social media about sex education, and the relationship between the level of knowledge and extent of practice on social media about sex education among students of Benguet State University in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines. A descriptive cross-sectional survey design was utilized by the researchers to describe the level of knowledge on social media and extent of practice of social media about sex education of Benguet State University students. For the results it shows the following: students of Benguet State University are highly knowledgeable on social media and sometimes practice it with a general weighted mean of 3.33 , students of Benguet State University are highly knowledgeable on sexual education, but seldom practice it with a general weighted mean of 2.98, for sex and year level, there is no significant difference on the level of knowledge and extent of practice on social media and sexual behavior among the students of Benguet State University. For age, there is a significant difference on the extent of practice on social media and sexual behavior. As for program, there is a significant difference between the level of knowledge and extent of practice on social media and sexual behavior among students of Benguet State University, there is a significant relationship between use of social media and sexual behaviors among students of Benguet State University. Generally; most students have extensive knowledge in using social media platforms for sexual education, most students have extensive practice in using social media platforms for sexual education, gender, year level and program have a relevance on the level of knowledge and extent of practice on social media about sex education, the level of knowledge is dependent on the extent of practice on social media about sexual education; the higher the level of knowledge, the higher the extent of practice. en_US
