dc.description.abstract This study was conducted to explore and describe the lived experiences of family members of mentally ill individuals. Family members are the main caregivers to those with mental disorders. They give full support to the individual, emotionally and physically (Parkeh, 2015). Descriptive phenomenology design was used to gather and evaluate the data and information. The research was conducted using focus group discussion followed by face-to- face interview. A total of ten participants for the study were chosen through maximum variation sampling. Bracketing and respondent validation was used and observed during the interview to further increase the credibility and viability of data. en_US
