dc.description.abstract The study was conducted to determine the difference on the awareness of the emergency responders as to age, educational attainment, nature of agency, and length of service as an emergency responder; difference in the application of Psychological First Aid as to age, educational attainment, nature of agency, length of service as an emergency responder and to determine the relationship between the awareness and application of Psychological First Aid. The data were gathered by means of questionnaire, which was administered by the researchers. The data gathered was analyzed using T- test, F-test and Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient. Weighted mean was used to compute the average by giving different weights to some of the individual values. T-test was used to determine the significant difference on the awareness and application of Psychological First Aid among emergency responders from the different rescue units compared according to nature of agency. F-test was used to determine if there is a significant relationship on the level of awareness and extent of application of Psychological First Aid from the different rescue units compared according to age, educational attainment and educational attainment. Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient was used to determine and compare the relationship between the awareness and application of Psychological First Aid. The following were the findings: 1. Regarding to the respondent’s awareness of Psychological First Aid, they were fully aware. They had their highest awareness on aims on respecting cultural norms regarding gender, age, family structures and religion while on the guidelines they are high aware on checking for safety first before helping. On the extent of application, they fully apply the aims and guidelines of Psychological First Aid. 2. The study shows, through the F-test that there is no significant difference on the awareness of the respondents as to age, educational attainment, and length of service while F-test revealed that there is no significant difference as to nature of agency. 3. The study presents using the same statistical treatment that there is no significant difference on the application of the respondents as to age, educational attainment, and length of service and also revealed that there is no significant difference as to nature of agency. 4. Through the Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient, it revealed the relationship of awareness and application on Psychological First Aid among the emergency responders of La Trinidad, Benguet and Baguio City in which when their awareness is increasing, then the application also rises. en_US
