<title>Tourism in Bauko, Mountain Province</title>

This study was conducted for the following objectives: to determine the profile of tourists visiting Barangay Bagnen Proper, Barangay Bagnen Oriente and Barangay Balintaugan; to determine the tourists destinations visited by the tourists; to determine the services availed by the tourists; to   determine   the   advantages  and  disadvantages   of  tourism  in  Barangay Bagnen    Proper,   Oriente   and   Balintaugan   in  terms  of  the  socio-economic contributions; to determine rules and  regulations of the LGU and tour operators of tourism in Barangay  Bagnen Proper, Oriente and Balintaugan; to  identify  the plans/support of  the LGU during  the  promotion of tourism in Barangay Bagnen Proper, Barangay Oriente and Barangay  Balintaugan; and to   provide  documentation and  features of the different tourist destinations in Bauko, Mountain Province.&#13;
A total of 100 respondents (20 tourists, 60 residents, 10 tour guides, 10 LGUs) in Barangay Bagnen &#13;
Proper, Barangay Bagnen Oriente and Barangay Balintaugan were interviewed using questionnaires. Secondary data were obtained from the mayor’s office and from the tourist information center. The findings of the study shows that: all of the tourist mentioned that they have visited Mt. Polis which is the most popular tourist attractions in Bagnen Oriente and was rated as excellent; tourist visit Bagnen and Balintaugan primarily for friend exploration and appreciating the scenery; services availed by the tourist were the presence of visitor information and presence of personal safety; services that LGU have provided are personal safety and friendliness to the visitor; tour guides also provides personal safety and tourist information; employment as tour guides are the most advantage of tourism in the place; disadvantage is detrimental to environment; the contributions of tourism to tour guides were: having a job as a tour guide, skills developed especially in behavioral responsibilities and good leadership ability. &#13;
Tourism contributions to LGUs were: skills developed in communicating, socialization as officials, opportunities in creating projects; tour guides are always informing the tourist to be alert during the trek because of some dangerous ways; LGUs always reminding tour guides to share what tourists wants to know, to speak in a way that tourist can understand, to be always alert in unexpected accidents, those be always ready and bring of those personal needs, to be always responsible and managing the time properly. Plans of the LGUs to improve tourism industry in Bauko, Mt. Province are the improvement of facilities, obeying tourism ordinance, making more tourism packages, implementing tourism projects and encouraging also businessmen’s for DOT accreditations. Plans/supports of the LGUs in the promotion of tourism in are the development of tourist destinations and improvements of roads, services and facilities. Promotion like creating packages of Bauko Tourism information and making tourism activities like festivals (fiestas).

<summary type="text">Promotional Tools of Agri-tourism Sector in Tuba, Benguet: An Assessment.

The study was conducted in Tuba, Benguet. The respondents include 19 agri-tourism business operators and owner, three staff of the Department of Tourism and 27 tourists. The study aimed to determine the promotional strategies of agri-tourism development; to determine the effective promotional strategies; to determine the challenges and opportunities in agri-tourism and to determine the problems encountered in promoting agri-tourism.&#13;
	Finding shows that promotional tools used to enhance agri-tourism development in Tuba, Benguet are through word of mouth, social media, brochures, consumer trade shows, signage, direct mail campaign, newspapers, flyers, radio and television. However, there are some effective promotional tools that attract tourists and enhance the agri-tourism business specifically are as follows: word of mouth; consumer trade show; social media; brochures; and signage.&#13;
There are challenges that constrains the opportunities to every agri-tourism business. Some of the challenges are limited awareness of the product and service standards needed to compete in the market place, limited on farm capability to develop the products and services needed to compete in the marketplace, limited awareness on how to market products and services effectively, limited programs and promotional strategies, competing with well-known tourism destinations that are well funded and heavily advertised, concern that agri-tourism might conflict with other farmers workloads during the busiest periods of the year, lastly is the long travel distance and transportation cost. The major problems encountered by the operators and owners of agri-tourism business in terms of productions are; the lack of capital and the very high cost of inputs materials. In marketing, the main problems are the low market price and demand, theft, competition with other firms. In financing, the main problem is the low income of the entrepreneurs and sufficiency of funds for the succeeding operation.

The study was conducted to determine the demographic profile of the tourists visiting Lubuagan, and the specific tourist destination seen in the place. It also aimed to know the assessment of tourists on the quality of services they availed and their suggestions and to identify the challenges/problems the tourist encountered during their stay in Lubuagan and their recommendations about the existing problem.&#13;
The tourist who served as respondents were from the neighboring provinces of Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), National Capital Region (NCR) Region IX (Zamboanga peninsula), Region II (Cagayan Valley), Region IV-A (CALABARZON), Region I (Ilocos Region), Region III (Central Luzon), Region VIII (Eastern Visayas), and Region VI (Western Visayas).&#13;
Majority of the tourist’s age are ranging from 21 to 30. Most respondents are females and single. All of the respondents attended formal education and most of them earned a degree in college. Also, majority of the respondents had jobs or self-employed.&#13;
The main destination that the tourists want in visiting the place are the woven products like “Tapis/G-string” and others that were patterned and designed, the red rice/ red glutinous rice, the Mabilong Weavers Village, the Lubuagan soft broom products, and Awichon Cultural Village Heritage.&#13;
As to tourist’ rating of services, souvenirs/products, and entertainment/activities respondents gave a very good rating for quality of services. Food services, accommodations, public rest room, public transportation services, tourist information center, supplementary services and community participation are rated as good quality. Also, the services, and internet services, information materials, tour guides/signage are rated as poor quality of service.&#13;
The most common problems of tourist in visiting the place were slippery, dangerous and rough road, no ample light on streets, and lack of printed information about the place.

<summary type="text">Satisfaction towards Tourism attractions in Alaminos City, Pangasinan.

The study was conducted to determine the satisfaction towards tourism attractions in Alaminos City. One hundred fifty tourists in different tourist attractions served as the respondents. Data were gathered using a survey questionnaire with personal interview with the respondents.&#13;
	The result of the study showed that the most visited tourist attractions in Alaminos City is Hundred Islands National Park. The main sources of information by the tourist are their friends or relatives. Majority of the tourist used private vehicles. The main reason of the tourist in visiting the place is to have outing with their friends and relatives.&#13;
The perception of tourists relative to the attractions include the following such as the area is free from pollution, it is environment friendly, safe and secured, easily accessible, beautiful, people in the area have good attitude and it offers budget friendly activities.&#13;
Relative to the level of satisfaction, findings revealed that the tourist were satisfied with Hundred Islands, Bolo Beach, Old Church and Lucaf Wharf in terms of attraction, accessibility, accommodation, amenities and activities. The tourist satisfaction is shown in their rating as outstanding or very satisfactory.&#13;
Further, there are several problems observed in the tourist attractions. However, the main problem encountered in terms of service- related is the absence of comfort rooms in the area. With regards to the environment- related issues, the problem is the unsanitary surrounding of the area. As to people- related the main issues is the local dialect of the people in the area.
